Sustainability & Craft
From fiber to finished garment, every step of our process is designed to minimize impact and maximize quality.
Our Process
We partner with European mills certified by GOTS and OEKO-TEX. Our linen is grown without pesticides; our cotton is rain-fed and fair-trade verified. Every bolt of fabric comes with a traceable supply chain.
Our design team creates patterns that minimize waste — each layout is optimized so that 95% of every fabric roll becomes a garment. Leftover scraps become headbands, tote bags, and sample swatches.
Twelve skilled seamstresses work in our Tel Aviv atelier, earning fair wages with full benefits. Each garment passes through at least three quality checks before it reaches our boutique floor.
We use plant-based dyes where color is needed and stone-wash our linen with volcanic pumice — never chemical softeners. The result is fabric that feels lived-in from the first wear.
Impact
Since 2018, Olive Wear has kept over 12 tonnes of textile waste out of landfills through our zero-waste cutting techniques and scrap repurposing program.
Our carbon footprint per garment is 68% lower than the industry average, measured across sourcing, production, and local delivery within Israel.
We publish an annual sustainability report and welcome third-party audits. Transparency is not a marketing tactic — it is how we operate.
